Every Child Matters at Viney Hill!
Here at The Christian Adventure Centre we are able to help schools implement the Every Child Matters initiative in the following ways:
Be Healthy: Physical activity across a range of outdoor disciplines promotes a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, and relieves mental and emotional stress.
Stay Safe: Growth in confidence through achievement and challenge in a residential activity week leads to a greater ability to stand against bullying and discrimination and provides opportunities to grow in awareness of personal safety.
Enjoy and Achieve: Children and young people of all ages build stronger relationships with their peers and staff members through an activity residential event. Personal development and new social skills are learned along with the opportunity to achieve in new ways.
Make a Positive Contribution: Learning to depend on others and have others depend on them is a big step in enabling children and young people of all abilities to discover that they have a positive contribution to make to both school and society.
Achieve Economic Well-being: The provision of good role models outside the normal environment and the opportunity to face new challenges has a significant effect on the confidence and visions of children and young people; enabling them to raise their own expectations of themselves.
