Second Timber Tent now available!
Good news for those of you who have booked the campsite this year, we are now pleased to announce that our second timber tent is now built and ready for occupation!
The comfort and enjoyment of our visitors is very important to us, and the project to fund and build these new wooden 'cabins' is part of our continuing strategy to provide the best service to our customers as possible.
As a charity we try to keep our prices as reasonable as we can, so that as wide a range of groups as possible, can afford to use the facilities. Trying to keep our maintenance costs down is one way to help achieve this. Canvas tents need a lot more maintenance through general wear and tear and repairs, and also need to be put up and taken down each year; a job that takes up a lot of time for staff. The timber tents are therefore more economical as they are much more robust than canvas, and stay in position all year round.
As we have mentioned before, the team here at Viney Hill feel that we are also part of a much wider team, made up of all those who support the work done here in many different ways; through supply of materials, donating time through doing maintenance work voluntarily, donating money to help with our running costs or building projects etc.
So on completion of this timber tent, we would like to thank Domestic and General Insulation Ltd located in Hereford, who have very kindly donated insulation materials so that we can keep you a little warmer on those slightly chillier nights! Our grateful thanks to them for helping us complete the project to such a high standard, especially Shaun Reynolds and Peter Cartlidge for organising it so quickly.
If you have any queries about booking the camping centre call Haley or Julie on 01594 516162 as we still have some dates available for 2007!!
