Would you pray for us?!
We make it a point here at the Centre to have an official staff prayer meeting once a week, presided over by one of our Trustees who is also the local vicar (thanks Philippa!). As a staff team we also know that we can ask each other for prayer whenever we need it which is a great support system.
However, we also know that prayer is one of the best and most effective ways YOU can support us. We appreciate it very much when we receive financial support (there is always something to buy!), and when people volunteer to come and do maintenance for us, practical help is very important, but prayer changes things!
There is always so much to pray about in running a Centre like Viney Hill, but here are three specific areas we need your prayer support in.
1. Finance - nobody likes to talk about or make appeals for money, but sometimes it is just necessary. Your prayer support is the most important thing, but there is always something in a work like this that needs money thrown at it at any one time. We would appreciate your prayers in this area, and if there are any practical ways in which you would like to help us you can refer to the news item on this newsboard entitled "What you can do to help the Centre".
2. Staff - our staff appreciate your prayers very much! There are various general ways to support us in prayer, at the moment our staff are constantly going through new training to make our activity instruction as good as possible; Tony W, Tony HB, our new staff member Steve Bedford, Julie W and Alison as well as some of our freelancers have all had more training in canoeing and mountain biking recently. This obviously adds to the work load that is already getting gradually busier as the year progresses. We would very much appreciate your prayers as we now begin to move into our busiest season.
3. Vision - Recently staff had occasion to contemplate on the vision for Viney Hill, and our thoughts on the future. You can also view this in full in another article on the newsdesk. We would appreciate very much your prayers in fulfilling our roles in what God is doing here at the Centre.
