Water
Canadian Canoeing
Challenge and enjoyment for groups of all ages and abilities, with 2 or 3 in each boat. The instructor will provide basic training on capsize drill and paddle techniques. Various games are then played once the participants have got used to their Canoes. These take place at the beautiful location of Mallard’s Pike, a lake ten minutes drive from the Centre in the heart of the forest. We are able to give basic coaching to advance your skills.

Kayaking
Suitable for all ages and abilities. Learn to balance on the water then off you go! The instructor will provide basic training on capsize drill and paddle techniques. Games are then played once the participants have got used to their Kayaks. These take place at the beautiful location of Mallard’s Pike, a lake ten minutes drive from the Centre in the heart of the forest.

Raft Building
This activity is a fun exercise to work on teambuilding skills. The instructor will provide the group with enough hints and equipment with which to build their own raft. This will then have to float them across water and get them to a destination decided by the instructor on the other side of a lake. Suitable games will be attempted once the raft is on the water thus ensuring fun and a chance to get really wet!
Effort: minimal-moderate.
River Trips
For a more adventurous time out we can take you on the river Wye for a day. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a whole variety of different wildlife that makes its home along the river. You can use either the Canadian Canoes or Kayaks. The instructor will again provide basic training and all the safety points for moving water. This activity can be subject to weather conditions.
Effort: moderate-strenuous
Overnight Canoe Bivi
This takes place in Canadian Canoes. You will journey in the evening from a point along the river in your canoes, receiving basic tuition as you go. Once there, you will experience the fun of wild camping overnight, before getting back into your canoes the following day for a morning paddle along the river to a point where you will be picked up and returned to the Centre. You are responsible for providing your own food. However, if you wish us to cater for you this can be arranged at a further cost. This is a great opportunity for fun and adventure with a chance to stay out under the stars for a night; again as this involves the river it will be subject to weather conditions.
