Accessibility
Viney Hill Christian Adventure Centre isn’t just for the able bodied. It’s also the perfect place for those living with disabilities and additional needs to have an amazing time, whether it’s for a single activity session, a day visit or the full residential experience. With the experience of our instructors and an ‘adapt and overcome’ attitude we are really keen to deliver a wide range of activities and the best experience possible. Just let us know exactly how adventurous you want to be and we will suggest a programme for you.
Accommodation
The Old Vicarage House: In The Old Vicarage we have one Ground Floor accessible bedroom with 3 single beds in it and a separate Wet-Room. There is ramp access to the building for wheelchair users at the side of the building but unfortunately there is no lift to the upper floors.
The Cross Meadow Eco-pods: We have 2 x Eco-pods that have been adapted for wheelchair users and ambulatory access. These pods contain a Wet room and 2 bedrooms with foldaway bunks that offer flexible spaces.
Facilities: We have a portable hoist available which will support lifting from a wheelchair to a bed/toilet. We do not have children/adult changing facilities but we can try to adapt spaces where possible. We do not have accessible transport for offsite activities but we can offer all onsite activities.
Getting around site: All main buildings are accessible for wheelchair users. There are 2 Eco-pods with no step access and accessible pathing to all activities. The carpark is still a bit gravelly in places but most wheelchair users can get around site without any significant issues.
